It’s not unusual to pay $500, $1000, or more on a mattress these days. Unfortunately, that means mattress shopping on a budget can be extremely difficult, as customers often have to choose between more affordable but poor-quality beds or higher-quality but outrageously expensive models.

That’s where one new mattress company comes in: Molblly.

Molblly Mattress Models

Molblly offers five different models of varying sizes, materials, and firmness levels to suit the needs of a wide range of people.

10″ Memory Foam

Queen Mattress, Molblly 10 Inch Memory Foam Mattress in a Box, Breathable Bed Comfortable Mattress with CertiPUR-US Certified Foam for Sleep Supportive & Pressure Relief, Queen Size Bed

The lowest-end model of the Molblly lineup is 10 full inches of memory foam goodness. Inside this mattress, you’ll find 2 inches of top-notch memory foam, perfect for alleviating tension from your body’s natural pressure points.

The next layer down, you’ll find a supportive layer of higher-density foam that’s sure to provide the rebound your body needs to properly align itself while you rest. The final layer of this mattress is more dense foam, providing a supportive base that will stabilize the rest of the bed (and you).

It’s all wrapped up in a cooling, moisture-wicking jacquard cover. The result? You have a soft, comfortable mattress that you’ll fall asleep on in no time at all.

Queen Size Mattress, Molblly 10 inch Cooling-Gel Memory Foam Mattress in a Box, Breathable Bed Mattress with CertiPUR-US Certified Foam for Sleep Supportive & Pressure Relief, 10 Year Warranty

Memory foam is well-known not just for being comfortable and supportive but also for trapping heat. Since it’s easier for us to fall and stay asleep at cooler temperatures, the heat-trapping nature of memory foam might pose some problems for people who easily overheat.

Molblly recognizes this problem. That’s why they’ve offer an improved version of their regular 10″ memory foam mattress by infusing this updated model with cooling technology. The result? Same great mattress at competitive pricing with enhanced body-regulating features.

14″ Cooling-gel Memory Foam

Queen Mattress, Molblly 14 inch Ventilated Gel Memory Foam Mattress Bed Mattress in a Box - CertiPUR-US Certified Foam

“Bigger is better” isn’t always true, but it’s hard to argue otherwise when you’re slumbering on this 14″ Molblly mattress.

Let’s break it down.

As with the previous models, this bed is wrapped up in a knitted jacquard cover that excels at wicking away excess heat. The result? You have a cool surface to lie down on. The heat-fighting technology only gets better from there, as the next 3″ layer is comprised of gel-infused memory foam.

The next three layers are all comprised of more foam of various densities. These layers work together to create a sleeping surface that’s as supportive as it is comfortable and plush.

12″ Plush Hybrid Mattress

Molblly Queen Mattress, 12 inch Motion Isolation Individually Wrapped Pocket Coils Mattress, Innerspring Hybrid Mattress in a Box with CertiPUR-US Certified Foam, Plush Yet Supportive-Pressure Relief

If you find that even gel-infused memory foam is too warm for your liking, this 12″ Molblly hybrid may suit you better.

Like other Molblly models, this bed starts off with a breathable knitted cover. Unlike the previous three Molblly models, though, this mattress includes a slim fireproof layer for added protection.

From there, there’s more heat-fighting technology. The next 1/2″ layer is comprised of convoluted (wave-cut) foam, which is not only supportive but airflow-permitting to boot. The next two layers are each comprised of an inch of high-density foam to provide your body the support and comfort it needs.

After you get past all of this foam, you’ll reach a 9″ layer of individually wrapped pocket coils. Not only do these coils effectively isolate motion—meaning less chances of disturbing a sleeping partner—but they also provide plenty of stability to the bed. As a result, your body will get the support it needs for you to wake up feeling refreshed. Even better, this layer is wrapped along the edges by foam, meaning this model has added edge support.

Molblly finishes this mattress with another slim fireproof pad and a half inch of pressure-relieving memory foam. The end result? You’re getting an incredibly soft, supportive mattress that will keep you cooler than an all-foam bed would.

Medium-firm Hybrid

Queen Mattress, Molblly 10 inch Individually Wrapped Coils Innerspring Mattress, Pocket Spring Hybrid Mattresses with CertiPUR-US Certified Foam for Sleep Supportive & Pressure Relief

Plush mattresses won’t work well for everyone. So, if you’re in the market for a medium-firm hybrid mattress at an amazing price, you need to check out this option from Molblly.

Like the above-mentioned hybrid option, this model also includes several layers of comfy, supportive foam, a layer of pocket coils, and enhanced edge support. However, the coils are a little stiffer and the foam a little denser. So, the mattress overall has a firmer feel, making this bed a great option for those who sleep on their backs and stomachs or who simply prefer firmer bedding.

Like all Molblly mattresses this hybrid can be paired with a traditional box spring or a minimalist platform bed frame.

Wondering which Molblly model is the right fit for your bedroom? Don’t worry; we’re here to help.

If you’re on a shoestring budget, either 10″ all-foam model should work well for you. If you don’t often deal with night sweats, the 10″ regular foam option should work well for you. If you’re concerned about overheating, the gel-infused model will probably be a better fit for you.

If you have a slightly bigger budget and enjoy extra-soft mattresses, the 14″ gel-foam mattress or 12″ plush hybrid will likely be to your likely. If you need added support along the perimeters of your bed and/or want enhanced cooling features, the hybrid will likely be your better fit of these two beds.

If you’re a fan of hybrid mattresses but want something a little firmer than the previous two options, the medium-firm hybrid will likely fit well into your bedroom. Fortunately, this model is available in various sizes at many different price points.

Molblly Report Card

We here at Sleep Authorities are transparent graders; you can see why we gave out these scores below.

Noise Control

Nothing is more annoying than a squeaky mattress that keeps you and your partner from falling asleep. Fortunately, the all-foam models have no noisy springs, which is why they’ve all earned high marks here. While the hybrid options won’t generate distracting amounts of noise, they will still make some noise thanks to their steel spring cores. So, they score slightly lower in this area.

Temperature Regulation

Memory foam is notorious for trapping heat. Fortunately, even the all-foam Molblly models incorporate enough cooling technology that they earned respectable marks here. The hybrid options, since they include airflow-promoting spring cores, naturally are a little cooler than their all-foam siblings.

Sinkage

Sinkage refers to how much “give” a bed has when you press down on it. The plusher models naturally sink a little more, which is why they’ve earned such high marks here. The rest of Molblly’s lineup is a little firmer, although not too firm, which is why we’ve given them their current grades.

Motion Isolation

People who share a bed with a light sleeper know the struggle of trying to remain still all night long so as not to disturb their companion. Fortunately, all five Molblly models isolate motion well, with the all-foam models transferring motion more efficiently than their hybrid counterparts.

Edge Support

Edge support refers to how firm the perimeter of a bed is. Having reinforced edges makes it easier to sit along the side of your bed, get into and out of your bed, and can even reduce the chances of you slipping off your bed at night (if you sleep near your bed’s edge).

Molblly’s hybrid options both use extra foam to reinforce their perimeters, which is why they’ve scored so well here.

Warranty, Trial Period & Returns

Don’t forget to read the fine print when you order mattresses online. To make your shopping experience as hassle-free as possible, we’re highlighting the important details you need to know about ordering from this new company.

Warranty

One way to see how confident a manufacturer is in their product? Check the warranty. Typically, the better the better, the more confident the manufacturer is that their product will withstand the test of time.

So, how confident is this company in their mattresses? Decently confident, as each model comes with a 10-year warranty. For reference, that’s on the lower end of what’s considered standard in the sleep industry. In other words, while this warranty isn’t the best in the industry, it’s still decent.

Trial Period

Buying a product like a mattress online might seem a scary experience. After all, how in the world can you know if you’ll enjoy a bed without trying it out at a brick-and-mortar store first? To alleviate potential customers’ concerns, most mattress-in-a-box companies offer sleep trials, where someone can try out a mattress in their home or apartment risk free. The industry standard is typically around 100 nights.

Unfortunately, information about Molblly’s trial period is not readily available online. People who want more information about a sleep trial will have to directly contact the company for more information.

Returns

What happens if you don’t like your Molblly mattress? You return it, of course. Unfortunately, this company also does not readily offer information about their return process. So, once again, we recommend contacting the company directly for further information.

Review Summary & Ideal Customer Breakdown

Mattress shopping on a budget doesn’t mean you have to settle for sub-par bedding. By choosing Molblly, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from at a variety of price points, meaning this company can suit the needs of a wide range of people. However, no one mattress company will best suit the needs of every single individual.

Not sure if this brand is for you? We’ve summarized the highlights of this brand below, so you can make an informed decision when upgrading your bedding.

We think you’d enjoy a Molblly mattress if you:

  • Share a bed with a partner, as every model isolates motion well.
  • Enjoy the feel of memory foam.
  • Are on a tight budget.
  • Prefer sleeping on plush or medium-firm mattresses.

A Molblly mattress may not be the best for you if you:

  • Prefer a high-end, luxury-like mattress.
  • Do not enjoy the feeling of memory foam.
  • Prefer sleeping on extra-firm mattresses.
  • Do not want to order a mattress before trying it out first.

Points to Consider Before You Buy

Do You Easily Overheat?

If you answered YES!, then you probably need to steer clear of all-foam bedding and opt for a hybrid model instead. If temperature regulation is of no concern to you, then any Molblly model should work just fine.

Your Typical Sleeping Position

Believe it or not, how you sleep can affect how you feel when you wake up in the morning. Ask yourself: Do you primarily sleep on your stomach, back, or stomach?

  • If you sleep on your side, a plush mattress will be better suited to you.
  • If you sleep on your back or stomach, a firm or medium-firm mattress will likely stabilize your body better during the night.
