Effectiveness
So… how effective is the Perfectly Snug Smart Topper?
I found it to be a little underwhelming at first, I expected the immediate blast of air that you get from a BedJet but the Perfectly Snug Topper is a little more understated.
This actually turned out to be a huge plus though. The way the topper cools you down is more on the gentle side, making it far more effective over time.
You can set the temperatures to adjust throughout the night to account for when you feel hottest (or coldest). This was huge, I found that I got hottest in the middle of my sleep cycle. I, therefore adjusted the settings in the app to be lowest at the start and middle of my sleep cycle and to increase a little bit just prior to waking up.
Bottom line… it is very effective at regulating the temperature of your bed over a sustained period of time.
The App
The app is pretty basic aesthetically but functional. It lets you set up automated temperature cycles or adjust manually.
It takes a minute to figure out but after that, it’s pretty much ‘set it and forget it’.
Co-Sleeping
This is the biggest selling point of the smart topper for me.
My partner and I have drastically different sleeping preferences. I like to sleep in an environment that is as cold as tolerable whereas they prefer a far warmer bedroom.
The Perfectly Snug Topper allowed us to set each side to match our preferences resulting in a happy couple.
Noise
The volume of the Perfectly Snug Topper is dependent on the setting you have it on. Anything lower than 4 or 5 is pretty quiet, this level should not disturb most sleepers.
Once you get into the higher levels it definitely gets louder. I’d compare level 10 to a laptop fan on full blast, not unbearable by any means but definitely noticeable.
If you like white noise when you sleep, the standard operating volume could actually be of benefit to you.
